12 months ago we set out to create our first automatic collection based on the following vision: create a fair priced automatic watch with a distinctive Nordic design, using high quality materials.
And we are excited to finally showing you our new collection.
All our watches come with our interchangeable straps, so you can customize the look of your watch by the click of a finger, making sure your watch always matches your outfit, mood and occasion.
Janus Aarup, Founder of VEJRHØJ, says about the new collection:
"I am excited to finally show our new collection. Many customers have asked us whether we would ever consider creating an automatic collection. I am enthusiastic that I am finally able to say “YES” ! This is the watch I have been most looking forward to wearing myself and to show to my friends, family and the VEJRHØJ community."
An automatic watch is a mechanical watch which is powered by the kinetic energy that is generated from the movement of your arm. No batteries needed: You are the movement! That's the charm.
Set the correct time and push in the crown. Put the watch on your wrist (then it will start by itself, almost right away). You can also manually wind the watch by turning the crown clockwise.
The automatic 8215 movement has a 42 hour power reserve. This means that the watch will keep time for approximately 42 hours in case it's not worn. As soon as you wear it (or manually wind it) it will start running again.
There's a standard deviation of -20/+40 seconds a day. This is standard. All automatic watches gain or lose a few seconds a day.
You set the date by pulling out the crown 1 click (out of 2), and then gently turn the crown counterclockwise. If you want to set the time, then pull out the crown 2 clicks.
You have to adjust the date at the end of February and 30-day months.

I really love the colour combination of the green and gold with this watch. It has become one of the main watches I wear, complimenting my Vejrhøj collection. As this is my first automatic watch, I was a little surprised at how noisy the charging apparatus can be when moving my arm around. The battery also seems to require manual winding or wearing every day, so I do not feel like it has the full 42 hour reserve - but to be fair I haven't kept track of that to know for sure.
A great watch and I am very happy with my purchase.
